1. How many sessions will I need? This will depend upon a number of factors: a. How deep the problems are b. How long you have had them c. How they have been treated in the past The sessions will focus on what is most important and work on getting the healing vibrations and communication working on their own. This sometimes takes some to set up the conditions so that the body can heal itself. For example: someone with a chronic virus such as produces chronic fatigue, may have exhausted adrenal glands. They simply cannot handle facing up to the challenge of fighting that virus. They are too weak to do the job. They will need to be strengthened first, and that may require strengthening all the organs and endocrine glands to the point where they are functioning normally. The good news is that no matter how many sessions it takes, the vast majority of people begin to feel better after their first session. It's like putting a giant jigsaw puzzle together. All the pieces are there and they fit together just so. Our job in the sessions is to keep putting the right pieces back in the right places until the body can take over and finish the job on its own.
2. Why do I need to come back if I'm feeling good? Your follow--up session was set by your body's wisdom. It told us this is when you would be ready for more, or deeper work. Oftentimes, when you are feeling good is the very best time to get to deeper issues that have been the underlying cause of the problems you came with. You will never be asked to come back unless your body has directed us to do so. And you are in control at all times. Our goal is to get you to the place where you do NOT need to come back until you feel the need. I sometimes don't hear from someone for 5 years! And then, something came up and they felt unbalanced and so came back for a "tune-up".
3. How do you "connect" with my body and get your information? The short answer is that I have fine-tuned my ability to feel and translate vibrations that emanate from your body. Your body is emitting vibrations all the time, and responding to vibrations all the time too. I can feel when the vibrations are out of sync, or confused, or infected, or any number of things. This is not so hard to understand on the physical level, but it goes for the mental and emotional level. But I think most people can feel when someone near them is angry, for instance, even before they speak. Emotions cause vibrations too, as do thoughts. All these can be felt, and I have developed this skill through much practice.
4. How do you balance things, sometimes without even touching me? Focusing on something brings awareness and that in turn changes the energy. An analogy might be when a small child comes to her mother, interrupting her conversation, and tugs incessantly on her, saying, "Mommy , Mommy" over and over until her mother turns to her and giving her attention, and listening to her child's request. The child stops her frantic asking and speaks what she wants. Our bodies act in a similar way. They are trying to get our attention through discomfort or pain. When someone finally listens and understands, the body can relax. That is the first part. The second part is that a focused intention to help the body balance creates a different energy pattern - the vibrations change immediately, and order and healing can begin.
5. What should I be doing to help? The main thing you can do is to know that your body can heal itself. It is doing so all the time. It can do so again. Your main job is to relax and trust the process. Sounds too simple? Is it? Most people find it very hard to trust their bodies. This involves a change in perspective and a willingness to stop often in the busy day and breathe deeply and slowly, reminding yourself of your body's ability to heal and actively trusting it to do so. If you need other healers or modalities on your team, that will come up in your session, because I ask. Also, if you need any supplements, or to avoid or add any foods, that will also come up. And it doesn't come up all that often, which surprised me at first. I was a great believer in supplements. I used to take a lot of them, and yes, i felt better, but only as long as i took them. Which led me to find ways to help the body do its job, because a fully functioning body should not need supplements. Which leads to:
6. Do I need to take supplements? Only if that is what your body needs at this time, and only as long as your body needs them to balance. I am very aware of the pollution, the stress, the things all around us that put our bodies to the test every moment of every day. Yet, I have found that the body can adapt far better than we've ever given it credit for. Yes, even to all those harmful things. the big IF however, is, IF it is healthy and all its parts are working in harmony and good communication with each other. Once we have reached balance in our sessions, most people's need for supplements, herbs, etc. is gone. Which is great news - think of all the money you can save!
7.Will I need to keep coming forever? Only until you are satisfied with the level of your health. You decide when and how often you need to have a session. I will tell you what your body says, but it is your decision. No pressure. That said, many people choose to check in every 3 or 4 months, just to stay on top of their health. They are enjoying their new level of health so much, they don't want it to slip! Some people have even asked me to check in on them on a regular basis. If I find they need some balancing, I email or call them and they give me the go-ahead if they want. Or not.
8. I don't feel any different, why should I come back? It is possible that not enough things have been set in order for you to feel a difference yet. I can guarantee that we did exactly what your body said it needed, and that it is working on it as best it can. If you are one of those few people who do not feel a difference after the second or third visit, it is only natural that you would be discouraged. All I can promise you is that if I ever feel i am not the best healer for you, or that another modality will serve you better, i will surely tell you right away. My goal is to have you steadily moving in the direction of increased health, and I realize I cannot be what everyone needs.
9. How can I tell if I'm getting better? There are definite indications when someone is moving towards better health. I would expect you to feel better overall: Better sleep, ability to handle stress, energy, and just a general overall feeling of wellness that may creep in slowly but surely. If you have specific indicators such as pain, we can always use them as things to watch for getting better too.
10. Do I have to get worse before I can get better? Absolutely not! Since beginning to work in the way i have for the last 5 years, that has only happened twice. I think this is because my intentions going in to the session are clear and precise. Briefly, they are: I will cause no harm. I will do exactly what the body is ready and able to do gracefully, without aggravation, at this time. I will stop as soon as the body indicates it has enough to work on for now.
